our philosophy
In 2023, Cam founded CG Goaltending with the goal of helping young goalies reach their potential. His training philosophy is simple but powerful: direct coaching, tailored to each individual. Cam’s approach is built on the belief that great goaltenders are made through a combination of on-ice skill development and mental toughness—traits that prepare goalies for success on and off the ice.
CG Goaltending is more than just a goalie school—it’s a mentorship. Cam’s unique perspective as a former professional athlete enables him to guide young goalies not only in their technical development but also in building the resilience, focus, and work ethic that distinguish elite players.
Current roles
Cam serves as the goalie coach for organizations at every level of hockey, including youth, junior, and professional. As the goalie coach for the Chicago Steel (USHL), Indy Fuel (ECHL) and Indianapolis Youth Hockey Association (IYHA), Cam is dedicated to passing on his knowledge to the next generation of goaltenders.

Cam's Journey
Cam’s journey began in Woodinville, Washington, where he first laced up his skates at age 5. From there, his passion for hockey took him through the ranks of the Seattle Junior Hockey Association, Ridley College for prep school, and junior hockey in Ontario, eventually earning him a spot in Division 1 hockey at St. Lawrence University. Cam’s accolades include a Division 3 National Championship and All-American honors at Adrian College, before he transitioned to a professional goaltending career with the Indy Fuel in the ECHL, capped by a call-up to the Rockford IceHogs in the AHL.
Throughout his career, Cam trained with some of the best coaches in hockey hubs like Vancouver, Toronto, and Detroit, gaining invaluable insight into what it takes to be an elite goaltender. His personal journey as a player has equipped him with the tools to coach goalies of all ages, from youth to elite levels.
